2 teenagers attacked with sharp-edged weapons

Pune: Two teenagers were attacked with sharp-edged weapons on Sunday night in Sangvi. The victims were attacked while they were crossing the road.

Sangvi police have registered a case against 14 accused in this regard. The identities of all the accused are still unknown to the police. Those identified are Akshay Khude, Akash Gadekar, Digvijay, Kamlesh, Ritesh Sathe, Moses, Manish, Yogesh.

According to the information provided by Sangvi police, the complainant Akshay Kengle, 18, a resident of Pimple Gurav, and his friend Ganesh Mote, were attacked by the culprits while they were crossing a road at Pimple Gurav. The accused, Yogesh and Manish, told the victims that they have been given a contract to kill them.

The accused left the spot after inflicting injuries on the duo and are still absconding. A case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the 14 accused.
