23-yr-old held for damaging vehicles

Pune: A 23-year-old youth allegedly damaged three vehicles under influence of alcohol in Viman Nagar in the wee hours of Saturday. The accused also took off his clothes before damaging the vehicles. Police have identified the accused as Prashant Galande, a resident of Mhada Colony in Viman Nagar.

Based on a complaint from Darshan Pandurang Chavan, an FIR has been registered against Galande with Vimantal police station for offences under sections 504 (intentional insult), 427 (damage to property) of the Indian Penal Code. The incident took place at around 4 am.

The accused damaged the vehicles, which were parked on the road, with stones. The local residents caught him and handed over to police.
