27-yr-old entrepreneur commits suicide

Pune: A 27-year-old entrepreneur who had rented a hotel ended his life after being regularly harassed by the owners of the place for their increasing demand of money despite him having paid Rs 75 lakh. The incident occurred on Monday in Bavdhan.

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Dhering, a resident of Midori Society in Bavdhan. Dhering ended his life by hanging himself at his home. A complaint was registered by the father of deceased at Hinjawadi police station on Friday, after which three persons were booked by police officials.

The accused have been identified as Narendra Tapkir, Umesh Shinde and Varunraj Shinde. All three are owners of the place in Deccan that the deceased Dhering had rented and have been booked for abetment of suicide. 

According to officials from the Hinjawadi police, Dhering had rented Hotel Varunraj in Deccan Gymkhana from the trio to run it on a rental basis. 

Dhering paid them Rs 75 lakh, but was regularly harassed by them for more money. The owners took the amount of Rs 75 lakh from Dhering and didn’t make an agreement, after which they started threatening him to pay or else they will make him vacate the hotel. The police said that Dhering was stressed out with the regular harassment and ended his life.
