3 arrested in Raj for Lonavla robbery

Pune: Lonavla police have nabbed three thieves, who had fled to Rajasthan after stealing cash and goods worth Rs 2.45 lakh from the Sunil Wax Museum in Lonavla. The three accused had stolen cash of Rs 2 lakh and two computer monitors and an LED TV from the shop. Two of the three accused have been found to have worked at the Museum’s copy shop, previously.

Museum Manager Anilkumar Tamrashan had registered a complaint at the Lonavla city police station in this regard. 

According to police, the three accused entered the shop through the grilled door at around 2.30 am on March 27 with their faces covered with cloth.

Police Inspector (Lonavla city) BR Patil and Sub-Inspector Mrugadeep Gaikwad and policemen Vaibhav Surwase, Samil Prakash and Ram Jagtap identified the accused through CCTV camera footage. All three were nabbed in Rajasthan with Rs 1,42,000 in cash and one monitor.

All three of them have been arrested and Sub-Inspector Mrugadeep Gaikwad is investigating the case further.
