3 persons who looted Amazon hub arrested

Pune: Three persons who had allegedly looted Rs three lakh cash from the Amazon’s Lohegaon hub on October 26, have been nabbed by officials from the Vimantal police station.
 
The robbers had assaulted some staffers of the company and also damaged laptops and other goods.

Acting on a tip-off received by Police Sub-Inspector Anandrao Pingle, cops have arrested Satyavan alias Appa Shrimant Gadge of Wagholi, Nishant Anil Nanaware of Hadapsar and Akash Ashok Rathod of Wagholi. They will be in police custody till November 19.

Senior Police Inspector Dilip Shinde said that the case has been solved within 14 days. “The accused persons had used two stolen vehicles in the crime with the help of their two other accomplices. Our team is searching for them. One of the arrested accused, Rathod, earlier worked with Amazon and he knew about the details of the Lohegaon hub,” PI Shinde added. 

The investigation team included Inspector (crime) Ramesh Sathe and policemen Ashok Sathe, Pushpendra Chavan, Vishwanath Gone, Sanjay Adhari, Prashant Kapure, Vishal Gade, Wasim Sayyed, Vinod Mahajan, Rahul More and Somnath Khalsode.
