3 two-wheeler riders killed in road mishaps

Pune: Three two-wheeler riders were killed in three accidents in the city on Tuesday.  The first mishap took place at 8.30 am at Ambedkar Statue Chowk in Pimpri.

As per the information given by the Pimpri police, a two-wheeler rider Parikshit Patil (35) was hit by a PMPML bus in which he was injured and later succumbed to injuries. Parikshit stayed at Dreamland society in Nigdi.  In the second mishap, another two-wheeler rider Sarnath Taksande (58) was hit by a truck at 5.45 pm at Market Yard. He later succumbed to injuries. Truck driver Sunil Kolpe (35) was arrested.

In the third mishap, Vishal Mulekar (23) was killed after his two-wheeler slipped on NDA Road in Warje at 10.15 pm. Warje police are investigating the case.
