4,650 more seats this year for Std XI

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Around 4,650 seats have been increased in First Year Junior College (Std XI), informed the Deputy Directorate of Education (DyDE) for the academic year 2018-19 on Thursday.

Around 285 junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will be participating in Centralised Admission Procedure (CAP) this year. There are a total of 96,320 seats available for First Year Junior College admissions in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Last year, the number of seats available were 91,670.

The online CAP started from June 14. As many as 3,49,919 candidates registered in the first part, while 1,30,012 students registered in the second part of the day on Thursday. The online application form is available on http://pune.11thadmission.net

As the number of students scoring more than 90 per cent marks has increased this year, there is a possibility that the cut-offs too might increase.
