6 booked for attempting to rob ATM in Fursungi

Pune: Six men were booked for making an attempt to rob an ATM at Fursungi Road during the wee hours of Tuesday. The police have arrested two persons and have registered a case at Hadapsar police station.

The accused have been identified as Sunny Singh Dudhani, Jitu Singh Tak, Papa Singh Dudhani, Gogal Singh, all residents of Birajdar Nagar in Hadapsar and Karan Singh Dudhani and Pavitra Singh Tak, both residents of Ramtekdi. The police have arrested Karan Singh and Pavitra Singh whereas the remaining accused are still at large. All accused led out a plan to rob the ATM near Ganga Nagar cremation ground in Fursungi.

According to the Hadapsar police, the accused were arrested by police when they were going in a car to rob the ATM during the wee hours of Tuesday. They were carrying rods, cutters, chilli powder and other sharp-edged weapons with them.
