7 dogs, 14 cats found dead in Yerawada

PUNE: In a shocking incident, a total of seven dogs and 14 cats were found dead in Tridal Nagar Society in Yerawada in the last one month. The residents suspect that the animals were poisoned. 

Anuradha Harke, a resident of the society, said, “We have complained to the police several times but no action has been taken yet. We suspect that the animals have been killed in a planned manner which needs investigation.” 

Senior PI Dinkar Mohite, in-charge of Yerawada police station, said, “We had sent the bodies for postmortem at the Government Veterinary Hospital. We are yet to get the report. Further action will be taken based on the report.”
