73 persons get back stolen valuables worth Rs 1.18 crore

Pune: Stolen valuables worth Rs 1.18 crore were returned to 73 persons at a programme on Saturday at the Police Commissioner’s Office in Camp. About 300 persons including senior police officers were present on the occasion.

The returned valuables included gold, silver ornaments, cash, vehicle, etc. Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale said, “These steps will assist in preventing burglaries and other crimes. We have intensified patrolling as well as checking of criminals on record.”  Most of the cases in which valuables were returned were from Zone 4 (24) cases and Zone 1 (18 cases). Among the police stations, most cases (9) were from Samarth police station.
