8-year-old boy dies after falling from building

Pune: An eight-year-old boy died after falling from the fourth floor of an under-construction building while flying a kite on Sunday morning in Kondhwa. The deceased boy was identified as Ateek Sheikh, a resident of Kondhwa who was a fourth grader at Pratibhatai Pawar School in Kondhwa.
According to Kondhwa police, on Sunday at around 8 am, Sheikh along with his 3-4 friends went to the fourth floor of an under-construction building behind VIT College to fly a kite. While flying the kite, Sheikh slipped off the edge and died. His friends reported the incident to his family who in turn informed the police.

Police they have registered a case of death, however, they have initiated a probe to find out if there was any foul play behind the minor’s death.
