Air Marshal RK Dhir visits Pune air force station

Pune: Air Marshal RK Dhir Param, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command, arrived at Air Force Station Pune on Saturday for his farewell visit. He was accompanied by Neelam Dhir, President, AFWWA (regional). He was received by Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Pune and Priyadarshini Nair President AFWWA (local).

The Air Marshal reviewed a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the base. In his address, he lauded the vital role played by air warriors in guarding the western skies of the nation. He also emphasised the role of Indian Air Force (IAF) in modern warfare and challenges in years to come.

The Air Marshal also visited Advance Headquarters South Western Air Command located in Pune. The Air Marshal will also be inspecting Air Force Station, Lonavla, on Sunday.
