Airport city planned near proposed purandar airport project

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that Government is planning construction of airport city around proposed Purandar Airport. Land acquisition will start very soon. The government has also decided on the compensation model for farmers for the project. "

Government is making consortium of four government companies to bring investment at Purandar Airport city" added Fadnavis. He was speaking at inauguration of work of Mahalunge-Maan HiTech city at balewadi on friday afternoon.

Fadnavis said the land acquisition process will start in four months for the proposed Purandar Airport project. PMRDA chief Kiran Gitte said that 40 town planning schemes are proposed around 128 km ring road and ring road will be connecting to Purandar airport. PMRDA has also planned connecting metro to ring road near phursungi.
