Another PMPML bus catches fire

Pune: A parked Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus caught fire on Saturday at Hadapsar PMPML bus stand.

As per officials of Hadapsar fire department, the incident took place at around 9.30 am. They were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the CNG tank, thereby averting a major incident.

Around 50 PMPML buses were parked in a row when one of the buses caught fire. Fire officials rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. The PMPML bus was plying on a contract basis. Police are yet to find the cause of the fire.

There have been at least five incidents of PMPML buses catching fire in last two months.
