Bapat instructs officials to provide space for Metro junction soon

PUNE: To discuss measures to speed up the work of metro, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Guardian Minister Girish Bapat at Mantralaya on Thursday. Bapat instructed District Collector Saurabh Rao to provide space for metro junction at the place of Shivajinagar warehouse. Along with Rao, officials of Food Corporation of India, metro officials and food supply officials were present.

As the metro junction will be constructed at a place where an existing food godown is located, Setu Seva Centre, supply office and election department godowns will be shifted to other places, where currently the old building of Zilla Parishad, Pune railway and ST station and Bhosari Regional Office is located. Bapat instructed officials to complete this work within two months. He also asked officials to complete the contractual formalities with concerned agencies soon.
