Bharosa Cell celebrates Int’l Women’s Day

Pune: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, officers, lawyers, doctors and counsellors, who are part of the Bharosa Cell, organised a discussion session at the Police Headquarters at Shivajinagar on Friday.

This discussion session was attended by all women police officials and social workers from the city. 

A series of discussion sessions on the issues like laws for domestic violence, pre-marriage counselling and importance of mental health were held by keynote speakers like Advocate Madhumita Sukhate, Savita Deshpande, Nina Patil and others. 

This discussion was conducted to create awareness among the staff as well.

Bharosa Cell, started in January this year, is located on the premises of Pune police commisionerate. It caters to senior citizens, women and children who are victims of crime. They will receive guidance from social workers, psychiatrists, lawyers and police counsellors.
