The first confirmed result came from Ward No. 20, Shankar Maharaj Math–Bibewadi, where the BJP won three seats, while one seat went to the Nationalist Congress Party. The result underlined BJP’s early dominance in the counting process.

In another significant outcome, Prashant Jagtap, who switched from the Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP to the Congress just before the elections, secured a win from Ward No. 18, Salunkhe Vihar–Wanowrie.

Contesting on a Congress ticket, Jagtap won by a margin of 1,534 votes, marking a key victory for the party in the southern part of the city.

Ward No. 36C also drew attention as Sai Thopate (22 Years) emerged as the youngest corporator in Maharashtra, adding a generational shift to the new civic house.

Despite intensive campaigning by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and significant focus on Pune, the BJP has clearly emerged as the strongest party in the city.

According to official data, Pune recorded a voter turnout of 52.42%. A total of 18,62,408 voters participated in the election, including 9,73,503 men, 8,88,809 women, and 96 transgender voters, reflecting broad civic engagement in the long-awaited municipal polls.
