Pune: An unidentified body was found in a water tank situated in the railway premises on Wednesday morning. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has filed a complaint.

The police said, “On Wednesday morning, passengers at Pune junction complained about a foul smell emanating in the water. The railway staff checked the water tank and found a body inside it. We recovered the body with help of the fire brigade officials. The body is unidentified till now.”

It has been observed that Pune junction is filled with vagabonds. The railway officials had conducted checks and vacated the railway premises. The officials also impose penalty on those found without tickets.
An activist questioned that if the railway is taking action against people for illegal entry inside the platform, then how did a person reach the top of the water tanker.
