Burglars strike in Vishrantwadi

Pune: Four unidentified persons went on a burglary spree on Monday in Shantiban Society on Dhanori road and burgled five flats.

A case of theft was lodged by the Vishrantwadi police after a complaint was lodged. As per information given by the police, the incident took place between 12.49 am to 6 am. Police said that Anil Dhavle, who has lodged the case, lost material worth Rs 4.9 lakh. As Dhavle was out of town, burglars were successful in stealing gold ornaments from his house.

After this, burglars also targeted four other flats in the society. Police Inspector Sangita Patil of Vishrantwadi police station said that the burglars were able to identify empty flats following which they executed their burglary plan.
