Pune: A 55-year-old businessman from Andheri, Mumbai, who had come to Lonavla for a land deal, was allegedly kidnapped on Friday afternoon from Tungarli in Lonavla. 

A case of kidnapping was lodged by the Lonavla city police in the case. According to information given by the Lonavla police, the businessman had come along with his 62-year-old friend to Lonavla for a land deal. On Friday afternoon, the victim had planned to a meet a person, who goes by the name of Chauhan. 

The duo had halted in a hotel in Tungarlif. Later on Friday, the victim informed his friend that he will be back after his meeting with Chauhan but he did not return. The victim’s friend then lodged a case of kidnapping at Lonavla police station. Police officials found that three to four unidentified persons, aged 30 to 40 years, abducted the victim in a Honda City car.
