Businessman’s family donates Rs 5 cr to CoEP

PUNE: As a tribute to KR Natu, businessman and former student of the electrical department of College of Engineering, Pune, (CoEP) Natu’s family has donated Rs 5 crore to the college. 

The KR Natu School of Electrical Engineering was inaugurated on Sunday, announced director of CoEP, BB Ahuja. 

Natu, founder of Deccan Mechanical and Chemical Industries Private Limited (DEMECH), had studied from 1951-1954. He had founded the company in 1969. 

“We thank and appreciate the contribution from the family. This amount will be used in upgradation of laboratories in the electrical department and also install advanced equipment in the new high voltage laboratory,” said Ahuja.
