Chandan Nagar police arrest 3 in murder case

Pune: Sleuths from Chandan Nagar police station have nabbed three men within 24 hours after they killed a youth in Kharadi over past enmity on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Pavan Baburao Kamble (20) of Thitevasti in Kharadi. The arrested accused persons have been identified as Kishore Shinde, Amar Gade and Sujit Jadhav. 

The incident took place at around 11 pm. After the murder, the accused fled to Lonikand and Solapur. Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Deepak Chavan and Chetan Gaikwad, a team led by PSI Shridhar Bhosale, nabbed the three accused persons within 24 hours.

Kamble’s cousin Pritam Gautam Kasbe (23) has lodged an FIR against the accused persons with Chandan Nagar police station. “I asked Kamble, who was standing near Sarkar Chowk, to go home as it was late. He started his bike and went towards Bhaji Mandai. Soon I heard him shouting to save him and he came running towards me with blood all over his body. When I asked him what had happened, he told me that the accused persons had attacked him with choppers and bat. With the help of my friend, I rushed him to two nearby private hospitals and after primary treatment, we took him to Sassoon Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” Kasbe stated in his complaint. 

Police have charged the accused persons for offences under Sections 302 (murder) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Investigation team included policemen Sameer Shaikh, Amol Pilane, Tushar Kharade, Tushar Bhivarkar and Anna Mane.
