Child sexually abused at Undri school

Sakal Times

Pune: A five-year-old boy was allegedly sexually abused by an unidentified man at his school in Undri. His mother filed an FIR at Kondhwa police station on Saturday midnight, for offence under section 377 (unnatural sexual offence) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As per the complaint, the incident took place between April and August this year. The boy studies in the kindergarten. His mother noticed changes in his behavior when he returned from school. In August while teaching him, he narrated how one uncle took him to a dirty room and made him touch his genitals and did ‘bad things’ to him. The parents stopped sending him to the school and asked the school management to take appropriate action. However, as the school authorities could not identify the culprit, the mother lodged a complaint with the police.
