City International School, Kothrud, scores highest in ABACUS

Pune: City International School, Kothrud, got the highest score and has been declared as the champion of Round 3 in the Sociable, Intellectual and Progressive (SIP) Arithmetic genius all-India inter-school contest Season 2 held at St Arnold Central School auditorium, Pune, on November 26.

A total of 511 students were selected from 43 schools, which participated in the contest.

The first two rounds of the competition were conducted at the respective schools with around 21,346 children participating. Out of this, 15 students qualified for the third round.

The competition was held for 10 minutes and children attempted 100 sums of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Along with a trophy, the winner of the first prize received Rs 10,000, while the first runner-up got Rs 7,000 and the second runner-up got Rs 5,000.
