Pimpri: A 5.5-feet long cobra was found in a bonnet of a parked car at the busy Wakad-Kaspte Vasti here recently. Snake lovers later captured it and released into its natural habitat. The cobra was found moving around the bonnet of the parked car near a bungalow at Anmol Housing Society at Wakad-Kaspte Vasti on Friday afternoon. The local residents immediately contacted the snake lovers and also forwarded photos of the cobra.

Realising the gravity of the situation as the reptile was poisonous, snake lovers Sunil Bhutkar and Krishna Panchal immediately rushed to the spot. It  took nearly one and half hours for the snake lovers to capture the cobra.

The snake lovers later released the cobra into its natural habitat on the banks of Pavana river. The reptile may have come out of its habitat due to the rise in temperature, the snake lovers said.
