ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: Colgate-Palmolive Ltd has opened applications for its annual Colgate Scholarship offer, whereby 300 scholarships worth more than Rs 52 lakh will be offered to deserving students. The last date for the offer is July 31.

The programme was launched in 2009 and is claimed to have enabled 1,000 families across 100 cities in India to give their children a good future. Additionally, Colgate has also tied up with the education app Byju’s to offer a free month-long video tutorial subscription worth Rs 999 on the purchase of a Colgate dental cream pack weighing 100 gm or more.

Managing Director of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd Issam Bachaalani said, “The Colgate Scholarship Offer is one of the many Colgate initiatives meant to give children and their families a future they can smile about. Since the launch of this annual programme in 2009, Colgate has tried, in a small way, to impact the lives of Indian families across 100 cities. That has been a motivation for us to scale up the programme this year, by not only providing more scholarships but also by partnering with Byju’s.”

Founder and CEO of Byju’s Byju Raveendran said, “Our main focus is to make learning accessible, engaging and personalised for everyone. Our partnership with Colgate will offer us the platform to help students from various backgrounds across the country to have an interesting and effective learning experience.”
