Collector conducts review meeting

PUNE: Ahead of Assembly elections, District Collector Naval Kishore Ram conducted a review meeting with the officials on poll preparedness here on Friday.

During the meeting, the total number of voters in the district, polling stations, one window scheme, solution app, number of persons with disabilities and plan to facilitate the arrangements for polling booths were discussed. 

In addition, training of manpower, officers and staff at polling booths and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct was also discussed in detail.

Naval Kishore Ram said that strict planning should be done in accordance with the forthcoming assembly elections as per the law and order, the Code of Conduct and the Election Commission directive. He also asked the officers to inspect the polling booths and review the facilities and establish polling booths on the ground floor for the convenience of the disabled voters.
