Cong MLA Vishwajeet Kadam injured

PUNE: Congress MLA Vishwajeet Kadam and his driver had a narrow escape when his car met with an accident near his residence on BMCC Road in Deccan area on Wednesday midnight. The Mercedes car was badly damaged. 

On Thursday, Kadam posted about the accident on Facebook stating that there was a minor injury and they are safe and sound now. However, officials from Deccan Gymkhana police station said that they were clueless about the accident. 

Kadam is an MLA from Palus-Kadegaon (Vidhan Sabha constituency) in Sangli district. 

The accident happened when he was returning home after attending a Congress meeting in Mumbai. The car had hit a tree. The airbag opened in time and the two escaped with minor injuries. Kadam sustained a minor shoulder injury.
