Coronavirus Pune: Essential shops except for milk to be closed for 3 days

Pune: Joint Commissioner of Pune city police Ravindra Shisve has issued an order for closure of all shops excluding medical stores in 23 hotspots between May 1 and May 3. However, milk shops will open from 10 am-12 pm and home delivery of milk will be allowed between 6 am-10 am. As declared by the Indian PM Narendra Modi, the nationwide coronavirus lockdown is till May 3. However, the rising cases across the country don't present a positive picture.

These restrictions will be applied in areas under ten police stations, i.e. Samarth, Khadak, Faraskhana, Swargate, Lashkar, Bundgarden, Sahakarnagar, Dattawadi, Yerwada and Khadki police stations. The home delivery of essential commodities is also not allowed except for milk in the given time. The restrictions will not apply to shops for foodgrains distribution run by the government. 

These additional restrictions will be implemented in the entire area coming under the jurisdiction of Samarth, Khadak and Faraskhana police stations. 

And in these police stations some parts have been covered:

Swargate Police station - Gultekdi, Maharshinagar, Dias plot, Indiranagar, Khadda Slum
Lashkar Police station - New Modikhana, Poona College Road, Near Modikhana Qureshi Mosque, Bhimpura Street, Babajan Dargah, Quartergate Road, Shivaji Market, Sarbatwala Chowk Road, Shitladevi Mandir Road.
Bundgarden Police station - Tadiwala Road
Sahakarnagar Police station - Taljai Colony, Balaji Nagar
Dattawadi Police station - Parvati Darshan 
Yerawada Police station - Laxminagar, Gadital, Chitra Chowk area
Khadki Police station - Patil Estate Slum, Irani Vasti Patkar Plot

Pune, along with Mumbai, is the worst-hit city due to the coronavirus. The infected toll from Maharashtra is nearing the five-digit mark. The Pune district death toll is nearing the 100-mark as the infected toll in the district has crossed 1,500.
