Criminal from Ghaywal gang held by cops

Pune: A wanted goon from the gang of Nilesh Ghaywal was arrested by officials of the Crime Branch Unit III on Friday evening. The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul Gosavi and was nabbed from Hotel Kinara on Paud Road.
 
According to Police Inspector Dipak Nikam of Crime Branch Unit III, Assistant Sub-Inspector Anil Shinde and Police Head Constable Pravin Tapkir received a tip-off that Gosavi is in the hotel. Accordingly a trap was laid by officials of the Crime Branch Unit III and the accused was nabbed. Nikam said that the accused is involved in two dacoity cases, including one in 2012 registered at Shahapuri police station in Kolhapur and other at Koregaon Park police station in December 2017, he has been remanded in police custody till January 5, 2019. Assistant Commissioner of Police Sameer Shaikh is investigating the case.
