Doctor booked for negligence

Pune: A doctor from Bavdhan has been booked by Hinjawadi police on charges of causing death due to negligence, 16 months after a 13-year-old girl died allegedly due to complications after an injection. 

The FIR was registered against Dr Baban Jadhav based on an expert committee report from the Sassoon General Hospital. 
According to police, the girl Pradnya was suffering for cold and fever. She was taken to Dr Jadhav on the evening of September 24, 2017, and she was administered an injection on the waist and also given some medicines. 

A few hours later, while she was at home, there were rashes on her waist and back. She was rushed to another hospital where she died during treatment the next day.
