Dog grooming contest held in city

PUNE: A national-level dog grooming competition was held at Balkrishna Lawns recently, where 32 participants from all over India participated with their small to big, fluffy to velvety, woolly to gooey dogs. 

The competition had a pure breed and freestyle dog grooming competition and Model Dog World Qualifying Championship.

Participants were competing against each other to be a member of World Indian Model Dog team. Prizes worth Rs 15 lakh were given away by ABK Imports. 

Judges Tammy Colbert and Karla Addington Smith flew all the way from the US to give tips and procedures to the contestants. 

They evaluated the participants very attentively and gave them each a certificate of appreciation and a medal.
