ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Shakuntala Kale recently took charge as Chairperson of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).

Speaking to Sakal Times, Kale said, "We will increase the focus on working towards developing policies that improve the examination procedure and make it more convenient for students. I also support the recent policies of giving additional marks for arts and sports. Certain policies do have their shortcomings, which we will work on in the coming academic years."

Kale has earlier worked with SCERT (State Council Educational Research and Training) and with the Konkan division of MSBSHSE.
