The first action took place in Kondhwa, where ANC officials apprehended a suspect near Bhairavnath Temple based on a tip-off received by police constable Sachin Malve. The suspect, identified as Bhagirathram Ramlal Bishnoi (46), residing in Tilekar Nagar, Kondhwa, was allegedly found in possession of opium.

A total of ₹14.98 lakh worth of opium and an electronic weighing scale were recovered from him. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Kondhwa Police Station.

In the second operation, ANC team two arrested a local man from Bibvewadi with a stash of the synthetic drug mephedrone. Acting on information received by constable Azeem Shaikh, police set a trap and detained the accused identified as Vitthal alias Anna Raghunath Karade (57), a resident of Bibvewadi.

During the search, officers recovered 55 grams of mephedrone valued at ₹11 lakh, along with a mobile phone and a weighing scale, bringing the total seizure to ₹11.24 lakh.

These back-to-back raids were conducted under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pankaj Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioner Vivek Masal, and Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Ingle and Rajendra Mulik. The on-ground teams were led by Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad, PI Prashant Annachatre, and Assistant Inspector Nitin Naik, along with personnel Yogesh Mandhre, Chetan Gaikwad, Sandeep Shelke, Nitin Jagdale, Yuvraj Kamble, and Dinesh Bastebad.

The coordinated efforts of the ANC once again highlight the growing concern of narcotics in urban areas and the need for sustained crackdowns to curb its spread.
