Eight SPPU students to attend global sports contest

PUNE: About eight students from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will be participating at the global university sports competition in Shanghai, China this year.

In the last month, Punjab University in Chandigarh  hosted a selection round of Indian university representatives at rowing and canyoning competition to be held overseas.

Mukesh Rajguru, Tushar Kadale, Jagruti Shahare and Nafisa Sadik have been selected in the Indian team for the rowing competition. 

Sultan Deshmukh, Sagar Nagare, Ravindra Kadale and Sunny Sonawane have been selected in the Indian team for canyoning competition to be held at Szolonk in Hungary.

These competitions will be held from August 10 to 12.
