PUNE: A 19-year-old college student was reported missing by his father, after his cell phone was switched off from September 23.

Kartik Ghodmare is a son of Professor Kishor Ghodmare and a native of Nagpur, who was last seen in college uniform at the college campus. Kartik, a first-year B Tech Student of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Kothrud, had left his college hostel on the afternoon of September 23. Ghodmare during his last phone call to his father said that he is going to meet college faculty and to talk about not submitting his assignment on time.

As Ghodmare was not responding to phone calls from his parents, they came to Pune and registered an FIR with Kothrud police station.

Senior Police Inspector Pratibha Joshi, in-charge of the police station, said, “Our team is searching for the missing student. His phone is switched off. Further investigation is going on.”
