Pune: The AISSMS College of Engineering’s 14th edition of Engineering Today 2019 came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony.  TM Gunraja, who was also the president of the Institute of Engineers was chief guest for the function. 

In his speech, he said that the engineers were the reason for India becoming very strong as a nation. He added that IEI helps in contributing to the strength of the nation by conducting various competitions and giving a platform to the engineers to grow multidimensionally and become capable to serve society more efficiently. 

Pradeep Kurulkar, senior scientist at DRDO, during his notable speech, said that India was emerging as a powerful nation and our defence sector has greatly flourished in the last 5 years and these are due to the fruitful contributions of our engineers. 

A special award was given to students of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for their enthusiastic participation. During this event, Suresh Shinde, Joint Secretary of AISSM Society; DS Bormane, Principal of AISSMS College of Engineering; Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Secretary AISSM Society were also present. A science exhibition was held on inauguration day which displayed innovative and outstanding models and projects.
