EPFO to recover Rs 6.83 cr dues from 15 companies

PUNE: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are all set to take action against the defaulters. A special team has been formed to recover the dues worth Rs 6.83 crore of 2018-19 from 15 companies.

As per the information provided by Regional Commissioner 1, Pune EPFO Arun Kumar, the special recovery drive will start in February and March. The total pending dues are Rs 6.83 crore from 15 companies in the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. During the recovery, the department will attach their property also.

With this objective, Provisions of Attachment and Auction of properties, Appointment of Receiver, Arrest and Detention of Employer are being enforced in a focused and decisive manner. Other coercive measures including prosecution under Section 14, FIR under Section 406,  409 of IPC shall be enforced earnestly against the following chronic/willful defaulters.
