Ex-PM Vajpayee’s ashes immersed in Indrayani

Pune: BJP’s senior leaders, followers and common people paid their homage to the ‘Asthi Kalash’ (pot containing the ashes) of former prime minister and BJP senior leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which was kept at BJP’s JM Road office on Thursday. The party had kept the Kalash for darshan from 10.30 am to 3 pm. 

Kalash was received by CM Devendra Fadnavis, BJP State President Raosaheb Danve and District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat in Mumbai on Wednesday. City Mayor Mukta Tilak, BJP city unit chief Yogesh Gogawale, Sanjay Mayekar and other party bearers and workers took darshan of the Ashes. 

On Thursday evening, the Asthi Kalash was kept in Alandi Municipal Council for darshan and then was immersed in Indrayani river in Alandi.
