Fire at an under construction building in Pune, no casualty reported

Pune: A major fire broke out at the ongoing construction site being developed by Kumar Builders opposite the Swatantryaveer Sawarkar Bridge on Paud Road. 

The fire broke out around 2.40 pm and is being handled by two fire extinguishers of the fire brigade.

According to a management personnel of the property, there was large quantity of paint stored on the site for soon to be begun painting work. While welding work was in progress on the 3rd floor, the paint caught fire, soon spreading over a bigger area. Paint is considered to be highly flammable. 

There has been no human injury or casulty reported as yet. The extent of material loss is yet to be known. 

The fire fighters and medical personnel on site have attracted a large number of bystanders causing a slow moving traffic.
