PIMPRI: The FIFA Football World Cup fever has reached its peak and the youths in the city are rushing to hair saloons for adapting hairstyles of the most popular football players.

The hair stylists who are normally asked to do hairstyles of the most popular cricketers, are now getting themselves updated with the world’s most popular football players.

The football players from various countries whose hairstyles are in much demand include Portugal’s Ronaldo Cristiano, Brazil’s Neymar, Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Germany’s Tony Cruz and Spain’s Isco. These footballers who have been the star attractions during the ongoing FIFA World Football Cup matches in Russia are also known for their special hairstyles.

Hairstyles have no longer remained the sole monopoly of women. The young football fans are ready to pay the exorbitant fees to adorn the hairstyle of their favourite footballers.

A 3D haircut with a tattoo is one of the most favourite hairstyles during the ongoing Football World Cup.

This haircut is accompanied by carving FIFA letters on the head. Also, often colours are also used to highlight the special hairstyles.

“I am a fan of Ronaldo Cristiano and hence, I have copied his hairstyle. Many of my friends adorned hairstyles of their favourite footballers,” says Aniket Pawar, a college student.

“Young fans nowadays want hairstyles of their favourite football players. They show us the photos of the hairstyles of footballers and we meet their demands with the use of sophisticated machines,” says Mangesh Raut, a hairstylist from Morwadi in Pimpri.
