PUNE: Ford India has introduced Discover Band - an elastic strap for the thumb, intended to encourage responsible driving habits and make the roads safer.
The Ford Discover Band has been designed to serve as a constant reminder for drivers to follow better road etiquettes such as not honking unnecessarily, not driving on the wrong side, helping people in distress and ensuring children sit in the rear seat of the car among others.
“The Ford Discover Band will be a constant reminder for people on the road to always do what is right and realise that change begins with them. The Discover Band on our thumb will remind us to be humane in our every day behaviour. It comes with a pledge that urges users to stay calm, compassionate and responsible while driving and help them discover more in themselves,” said Ford India Vice-President Marketing Rahul Gautam.
