Four killed in car accident

Pune: Four persons, including three women, died after the car they were travelling in hit a stationary truck near Khed Shivapur toll plaza on Monday. 

The deceased have been identified as Omkar Pol, who was driving the car, and Aruna Bhosale, Ujwala Sanas and Ashwini Asawale. 

According to the Rajgad police station under Pune rural police, the deceased persons were going to Satara. The car hit the truck from behind at about 500 metres ahead of the toll plaza. The impact was so severe that a crane was needed to separate the mangled remains of them from the truck.
