Gang of 5 dupes 23 people of more than Rs 41 lakh

Pune: Twenty three people have been duped of more than Rs 41 lakh by a group of five on the pretext of availing products at cheaper price. A case in this regard was registered at Pimpri police station.

The accused were identified as Sanjay Adulkar (23), Tejas Adulkar (21), Jayshree Adulkar (42) Nandu More (50), and Muktabai More (65), all residents of Pimpri gaon. The five accused were operating out of Jayshree hotel since August and have duped 23 people of money amounting to Rs 41, 55,147.

According to the information provided by Pimpri police, the fraudsters duped people on the pretext of providing them home products at cheaper prices and they also assured them of partnership benefits. However, the fraudsters didn’t fulfill their promises and cheated people after taking money from them.

A case of cheating has been registered against the five accused at Pimpri police station.
