Gold ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh looted from flat on Mangaldas Rd

PUNE: Gold ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh were stolen by an unidentified person from a flat in Jashnmahal Society on Mangaldas Road on Thursday. 

According to officials from Koregaon Park police station, the incident came to light at 6 pm. The police said that one Vasudeo Methani informed them that gold ornaments had been stolen from his home. 

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Patil of Koregaon Park police station said that around 40 to 50 tolas of gold ornaments are missing from the victim’s house. “We are currently in the process of collecting more details with regard to the case,” added Patil.
