IMA & POGS organise women’s conference

PUNE: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Pune, in association with Pune Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (POGS) has organised a Women’s Conference on March 3 to commemorate International Women’s Day. The conference will be held at IMA Hall from 9 am onwards.

Mayor Mukta Tilak will be the Chief Guest and founder of popular Facebook page of PuLa (standing for Pune Ladies) Sonia Konjeti will be the Guest of Honour.

During the conference, there will be scientific lectures pertaining to women’s health by expert faculties.

Women’s Day is celebrated globally on March 8 every year in honour of their remarkable contribution to society.

The conference also includes a social awareness programme, which is free and open to the public. The theme this time is ‘Do It Yourself (DIY)-Healthy Me, Happy Me’. In this programme, there will be lectures by many stalwarts on self-defence techniques for women, fitness tips for all ages, healthy eating and stress and relationship management for a peaceful and happy life.

The session will end with a panel discussion on ‘How do I maintain my fitness’ by expert doctors. 

The highlights of the conference will be recipe contest, ramp walk and fashion show with prizes for the winners.
