PUNE: With the minimum and maximum temperatures in the State and Pune rising, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the State will experience higher day temperature in the coming week.

Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 15.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius. The IMD predicted that the minimum temperature will go as high as 14 degrees, while the maximum will touch 32 degrees Celsius till February 21. 

The State recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees at Nashik on Thursday. The IMD forecasted that the State will experience dry weather in the coming week.

The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius in Pachmarhi in west Madhya Pradesh.  There was dense fog at Pantnagar in Uttarakhand and Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. Shallow to moderate fog was observed in north Delhi on Thursday morning.

Rain or snowfall is likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 20 and February 21, predicted IMD. 

Officials said isolated rainfall activity is likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Weather is likely to be dry over the remaining parts of the country during the same time.
