International Science Day celebrated at CM International School

Pune: International Science Day was celebrated on November 10 by the students of classes 1 to 6 at CM International School. 

Dr Ashok Rupner of IISER was the guest of honour. He showed different science activities to the students and encouraged the teachers to visit IISER for more simple and easy to perform scientific activities at school. He also introduced the students to the experiments that are simple to perform, with the help of materials at home.

The activities that he demonstrated to the students were 'Formation of a flute out of a straw pipe' - Different sounds were made based on different length of the straw and the number of holes, production of sound after filling an empty plastic sparrow with water, production of sound after putting a nut in the balloon, blowing the balloon and spinning it, etc.

The demonstrations were followed by few activities with the popular game among the students i.e. fidget spinner.
