Javadekar predicts clean sweep

PUNE: Union Cabinet Minister Prakash Javadekar expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win eight assembly seats of State assembly constituencies in the city while addressing booth- level workers’ rally in Bibvewadi. From Friday, Javadekar is addressing booth level rallies. He addressed two rallies on Saturday.  

From last two days, Javadekar addressed three booth-level workers rallies. While addressing Parvati and Khadakwasla rallies, he said, “At present, BJP has eight sitting MLAs in Pune city and we will win all seats with a majority in forthcoming State assembly elections.” 

He further said, “There is the craze for BJP in Maharashtra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have increased the rate of development in the country and state. People are getting the benefit of development schemes. Therefore, we will get three-fourth seats in the State assembly polls.” 

BJP city president MLA Madhuri Misal, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) house leader Shrinath Bhimale, Standing Committee Chairman Sunil Kamble and Ujjwal Keskar were present in the rally. Javadekar also addressed booth-level party workers in Khadakwasla constituency. 

There are eight State assembly constituencies in Pune city.
