JJ Garden to be turned into podium garden

PUNE: The 57-year-old Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy Garden, popularly known as JJ Garden, in Camp will soon turn into a podium garden, located one floor above the ground.

Along with that, there will be a parking facility on the ground floor and a modern park with various amenities on the first floor.

According to Priyanka Shrigiri, Vice President of PCB, this will be the first podium garden in the entire city. 

She further said, “A total of Rs 7 crore has been proposed for the development of the JJ garden. In the first phase, Rs 6 crore is estimated for parking floors and garden development, while in the second phase, Rs 1 crore is estimated for the garden work.”

“We are looking out for outsourcing agencies. Hence, in two to three months, the work will start and 18 months have been given to each agency to complete the work,” Shrigiri added.
